Soil
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A self-reflective anti-avoider controlled by almost every key on the keyboard. Made of clay, stars, industrial sounds and fast, chaotic finger-twisting gameplay.
Push back those, who try to get out. Return back to soil those, who try to run.
Press and hold any alphabet or numeral key on the keyboard. Then press and hold another one. Hold two of them simultaneously.
Most sounds are based on works of Kernherbst

as it went on i just started enjoying the sounds of the chains so much!! they were mesmerizing, reminded me of sounds of the podracer engines starting up in phantom menace (wish i had a better point of comparison... xd)
thank you! great comparison indeed.
it wasn't intended from the start but at one point during the developement i understood that i want it to be a music toy in a way. i think i try to do it with most of my games.
my friends play in a band called Kernherbst. they're making ambient, industrial, noise and all that kind of experimental stuff. once they've provided me with a pack of sounds, which they created but didn't happen to use in their songs. now i use them in most of my games. sound of chains included.
theese sounds always inspire me and often help to turn a game into something coherent and meaningful.
my letters are gone, have no words
brain tickle good bzzzzz
love the look of the little clay guys. very fun!
I appreciate the aesthetic vision so much.
As others have commented, I too found the experience of playing this game to be unique!
At first I didn't understand the rules very well and pushed the keyboard in various ways, and gradually I learned how to use the strong keys, but by that time there were only a few keys I could push, and the stability started to fall apart, which was very interesting!
Thank you!
man, that's the most unique gameplay i've ever seen! seriously, for the first time i used my whole keyboard while playing and it felt awesome
Thank you!
this game makes me feel like a bad person
never played anything quite like this, both aesthetically and mechanically
Thank you! It's a precious reaction for me.
very, very good
Thank you!
